  1. Taste of Madison is a festival held around the Capitol Square on Labor Day Weekend. It has many participating restaurants that sell small portions of their food for "tasting". In addition, the event has many bands performing over the weekend. The 2008 Taste of Madison is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 30-31.
