Particularly beloved for its popularly priced restaurant and soda fountains found in most of its locations. Bought out by the Walgreens chain in the 1980s, and Walgreens removed the restaurants and soda fountains from the stores.

  2. The new children's zoo addition with the carousel has a plaque outside of it, dedicating it to the employees of Rennebohm Drugstores. They were the big employer of teenagers in Madison before McDonald's invaded everywhere.
