  1. Picnic Point offers great trails for biking, walking and running. They also have some sites set up for building a camp fire and having a picnic. However, if you stay late at night WATCH OUT FOR RACCOONS! They're definitely not afraid of humans and can put quite the damper on your good times.

  2. Picnic Point is a scenic pathway along Lake Mendota's south shore. Located between the campus and University Hospital, the area is a popular spot for walking, running and biking. Picnic Point is approximately a mile-long peninsula. The area offers excellent views across the lake of downtown Madison. During my college days it was a welcome spot, close to campus for me to escape to. Years later I still enjoy walking the path and exploring the woods and trails nearby.

  4. A long narrow peninsula extending into Lake Mendota. A great place for a stroll on a warm summer day. As the name suggests, it is also a great place to have a picnic. You can see the skyline of the city from across the bay, accompanied by a nice reflection on the water on calm days.
