  1. A popular after bar restaurant on State Street. A few years back they had competition from Zorba's, a Greek gyro restaurant literally across the street. Zorba's closed and is now Takara, a Japanese restaurant. If you want gyros, Parthenon is the place. Keep in mind when ordering, gyro should sound like "euro", no G sound. Use the hard G sound only if you want to look like a tool. Posted by: strudelwagon on Apr 17, 2008 (1) (0)
  2. This place in the middle of State Street has been a staple for satisfying the after-bar-time munchies for a long time. Once you get in the door, just answer "Yes" to the question "Gyro fry?". You won't regret it. The place always reminds me of Saturday Night Live sketch The Olympia Restaurant (Cheeseburger sketch) with John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray back in the 80s. 3. Best gyros I have ever had. WARNING: Be prepared to smell like a gyro for three days. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just something you should be aware of. Posted by: Dfanson on Jul 10, 2008 (0) (0)
  4. Zorbas was the only place to get a gyro, Parthenon puts MSG in the meat, plus , I never had to ask at Zorbas " can i get some meat with my gyro", what a scam 10 bucks for a gyro and a drink, among the student we call it Mc Gyro, or Mc shit! Posted by: Anonymous on Nov 12, 2009 (0) (2)
