  1. A large art center located on State Street. It houses Overture Hall, the Playhouse, the Madison, Museum of Contemporary Art, meeting and multi-purpose rooms, galleries and more. Made possible by the very generous donation of over $200 million by local businessman Jerry Frautschi. In addition, the Overture Center is home to several resident arts organizations including: Madison Repertory Theatre, Madison Children's Theatre, Kanopy Dance Company, Madison Ballet, Li Chiao-Ping Dance, Madison Opera, Madison Symphony Orchestra and Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra.
