  1. Lake Waubesa is located just south of Madison. It is part of the Madison chain of lakes. It is connected to Lake Monona through the Yahara River. The town of McFarland sits on the east shore of the lake. Lake Farms Park sits on the northwest shore of the lake and has a popular boat landing. Goodland Park on the southwest and Babcock park on the east are other popular boat landings.
