  1. A shopping center located in the near west-side of Downtown Madison. Once the home to Marshall Fields, it now houses Macy's as well as a variety of upscale specialty stores and restaurants. The Mall underwent major construction in the past few years and is virtually unrecognizable to those that haven't seen it since the construction began. The mall houses the first Sundance Cinema by Robert Redford. Some of the stores in the mall include Cornblooms, Fair Indigo, Jan Byce's, L'Occitane, The North Face and more. The mall also has several restaurants including Flat Top Grill, Great Dane Pub & Brewery, Fleming's Steakhouse, Sushi Muramota and more.

  2. A mall that has one major department store (Macy's) and a new theater that plays arthouse and independent films (Sundance Theater). This mall has undergone many renovations in the last few years, and large condo developments are going up just behind it. Even though development might be moving at a faster pace than actual patronage of the emerging commercial/residential area, it is still a pleasant place with likely a bustling future.
