1 Definition
  1. As if four quarters of grab-assin' weren't enough, Badger fans stick around for another 15-minute quarter to dance to all the Wisconsin football songs played by the UW band. The band used to play Swingtown during the games, but now they just save it for the fifth quarter. At least they still play "Jump Around" during the game. It wouldn't have quite the same effect in the fifth quarter. Posted by: terracebum on Apr 04, 2008 (2) (0)

The Fifth Quarter
Here's an example of the Fifth Quarter, right after beating Michigan, which is always reason to celebrate. The Wisconsin students are dancing to "Swingtown," which the students always call for during the game as well. "We want Swingtown!" is what they'll chant throughout the game.
