  2. A chill summer event in Madison in which the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra sets up for a concert right next to the capitol building. Speakers blare out music in all directions, allowing people on multiple sides of the capitol to lounge with friends and enjoy the show. Although you can technically bring any beverage you want, most people bring wine. So, leave your Mountain Creek and Hamm's at home, people. Posted by: Anonymous on Jul 20, 2009 (1) (0)
  3. The Concert on the Square starts at 7:00 PM, but make sure you get there early if you want a good spot on the lawn. I have friends who go several hours ahead of time to get their favorite turf.

Concert goers usually drink wine and eat cheese and crackers, a step up from the typical beer and brats at outdoor Madison events.

Make sure to bring insect repellent, in case the bugs are out in force. Posted by: uwmad09 on Aug 06, 2008 (1) (0)
  4. 2010 will see the 27th year of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra playing at Concert on the Square. 2010 dates will be:

    July 7th, 2010
    July 14th, 2010
    July 28th, 2010
    August 4th, 2010

That's six straight Wednesdays, with all concerts starting at 7:00 PM. As always, C on the S is BYOB and open to the public. Bring your bug spray just in case. Posted by: Anonymous on Mar 04, 2010 (1) (1)
