  1. In the summer months, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra holds free concerts on the capitol square in Madison every Wednesday night.

  2. The Concert on the Square starts at 7:00 PM, but make sure you get there early if you want a good spot on the lawn. I have friends who go several hours ahead of time to get their favorite turf.

    Concert goers usually drink wine and eat cheese and crackers, a step up from the typical beer and brats at outdoor Madison events.

    Make sure to bring insect repellent, in case the bugs are out in force.
