    (n) The cheap coat you now wear when you go to get drunk because you blacked out and left your nice coat somewhere the last time you went out. Also, could be the cheap coat you now wear because some sketch ball stole your coat while you were only buzzing at a house party.

  2. In the past, the beer coat was a grungy coat that you often left in the doorway of your house or apartment because is wreaked of smoke. With the Madison smoking ban in effect, your beer coat smells just like your regular coat. However, it may still look like trash if it happens to touch the beer/slush mix on the bar floor.

  3. The beer coat is the less expensive but very warm coat that I would put on in the winter to go to the bar in the winter. Because alchohol is a habit creating substance, It also became the coat I would usually wear in the winter even just to the liquor store whence I also employed my beer backpack (this ones not for school).

  4. A beer coat is what University of Wisconsin students put on before they endure the cold streets of Madison en route to the bars. Many Wisconsin students also put on their beer coats before going to class. Hey, it's cold up here! (By beer coat I mean drinking beer in lieu of wearing an actual coat - An actual beer coat is described in the other definitions.)
