Axe Game, The   Add to Favorites   Flag

  1. This is slang for the annual football game between Wisconsin and Minnesota. The winner gets to keep "Paul Bunyan's Axe." It literally is an axe that the victor gets to keep on its campus until the following year's game. The axe typically stays in Madison because Wisconsin tends to trounce its cross-border foe.
