  1. The nearly-100-year-old bronze of Abraham Lincoln atop Bascom Hill, situated right in front of Bascom Hall, had hardly been washed before its restoration efforts began in 1999. The poor guy was all green, just like "Lady Liberty" in New York. As you can see in the picture below, old "Honest Abe" now has that presidential luster back.

  2. A picturesque statue of Abe Lincoln sitting at the top of Bascom hill. It's said that rubbing Abe's foot before an exam will bring you good luck. There is also a legend that Abe will stand up for a virgin who walks by.
