  1. A great big bluff that overlooks the city of La Crosse. At the edge of the bluff there's a great lookout where you can see the whole city. From La Crosse down below you can spot Grandad Bluff by the American flag flying atop. Also, during the holiday season you can spot the Christmas tree lights that are lit up at night time.

    Past Words of the Day

A favorite food of kids in the Milwaukee Public School System (MPS) and a Milwaukee classic! Pork shaped into a form kind of resembling a chicken drumstick, but really flat, coated, and fried.

An infamous legal trial that took place in Phoenix in the 1960s, a complicated fiasco involving an inheritance and "scientific proof" for the existence of a human soul.

The 13th step of the State Capitol Building (on the west side) happens to be situated exactly one mile (5280 feet) above sea level.

    1. Pittsburgh speak for the preposition "with".

    2. Meaning: with
Example: I'd like my cheesesteak wit onions.

Children's street game of bygone days, involving pink Spalding (or "spaldeen") ball and broomstick. Now sadly defunct.

The boundary between Detroit and Detroit's northern suburbs in Oakland and Macomb Counties. Also known as 8 mile, it has served as cultural dividing line between the predominantly poor African-American city and its wealthier, predominantly white northern suburbs.

The infamous NYC street vendor hot dog, generally Sabrett's brand shoved haphazardly into a soggy bun and topped with a variety of gloppy condiments. The consumption of this NYC grab-and-go staple is almost an urban rite of passage and the Manhattan version of Russian Roulette.

For some reason, low-numbered license plates have become a status symbol in Rhode Island, to the point of a rash of illegal auctions taking place for these prestigious items.
