  1. The Cass Street Bridge, also called the Mississippi Bridge (especially by those who don't know what it's called), directs traffic over the Mississippi and into Minnesota. A few years back the city built a new version of the bridge to the old bridge's south. The new portion goes eastbound and the old bridge now only goes west toward Minnesota.
