(noun) Common nickname for the Minneapolis Star Tribune, a daily newspaper.

Was posted on a billboard in the 70's (I think). Initially referred to all of the layoffs from Boeing in the 60's and 70's since Boeing was the major employer in the area, but has since been used whenever a major employer has done layoffs (i.e., Boeing, Microsoft, etc.).

A reference to Scottsdale's "upper-crusty" atmosphere.

San Antonio is the only U.S. city with five Spanish missions. These historical structures served as the first foundations of the city (the Alamo is the oldest, built in 1718) along the San Antonio River.

The Dirty Bird is a celebratory dance popularized by ex-Atlanta Falcons star Jamal Anderson. Anderson, who was known for his colorful antics on and off the field (much like Muhammad Ali, whom he knew as a child), would execute this goofy dance in the end zone after touchdowns. The "Dirty Birds", when plural, can refer to the Atlanta Falcons football team and its players.
