She started using the pen name Carrie Bradshaw to protect her anonymity. Carrie Bradshaw ended up being the main character for the HBO show as well, and she too was a sex columnist.

    Sex and the City: The Movie was released in the US on May 30, 2008. The movie posted record-setting numbers in the opening weekend.
