Nickname for Portland because of all the rainfall it receives. Puddletown has made its way into popular PDX culture, as it's commonly affixed to names of businesses, sports teams, et al.

A nickname for the Dinkytown area that is earned by the many rowdy college kids that live in the neighborhood.

1. Children's street game of bygone days, involving pink Spalding (or "spaldeen") ball and broomstick. Now sadly defunct.

2. A street game that resembles baseball, played with a broomstick and a "spaldeen" ball. The game was also played in Jersey, but is largely just a thing of the past. (At least in New York -- you can still find kids playing such games, often called "ba-te" in the streets of Latin American countries.)

A huge underground storage tunnel built to hold storm water runoff and sewage during heavy rains. The 19.4 mile long tunnel is located 300 feet below Milwaukee, ranges in in diameter from 17 to 32 feet, and holds 405 million gallons of sewage.
