  1. Located in downtown Chicago, uptown is a diverse neighborhood which has become a center for entertainment. In the early 1900's uptown was Chicago's ground zero for the jazz, silent films, and swing. It is home to some of the most famous venues in America, including the Aragon Ballroom, the Riviera Theater, and the Green Mill Cocktail Lounge; all places where famous musicians from jazz to rock have played and continue to play.
