  1. Probably one of the most famous ball rooms in America, the Aragon is located in Chicago's Uptown, and in the 1940's and 1950's it was a mecca for big bands and jazz musicians such as Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, and Benny Goodman. The Aragon still attracts big name bands, such as the Rolling Stones, U2, and the Smiths, amongst many others, have played there.
