A stew-like dish made from beans, beer, pork, peppers.

"Notsoberfest" takes place the last weekend of September, kicking off La Crosse's famous Oktoberfest celebration. People stand around in beer tents and down pitcher after pitcher of beer. Just about everyone there is "not sober".

While outsiders might assume you can borrow money from your buddy and he will lend it to you, in Wisconsin we borrow everything. i.e. "Can you borrow me ten bucks?" "No, sorry. I can't borrow it to you 'cuz then I won't have enough left for the brat fry."

Nickname for the open green space behind Witte Hall, one of the few such spaces in the Southeast Dorm area. On warmer days, students congregate in the backyard in large numbers.

For some reason, low-numbered license plates have become a status symbol in Rhode Island, to the point of a rash of illegal auctions taking place for these prestigious items.
